Pot of Gold is a small private owned holiday resort on western Crete.
The resort consists of 5 small appartments, a swimmingpool and gardens,
And is a perfect location for those who want a quiet and calm holiday.
Away from the raging mass-tourism, although only 8 minutes from Platanias / Agia Marina and 20 minutes from the city of Chania.
The appartments is approx. 37 sq.m. in size, and consist of a livingroom,
fully equipped citchen and shower / WC.
There is a double bed with wardrobe on the mezzanine, and a single sofa-bed in the livingroom. In addition it is possible to put in a spare bed allowing four people to stay in the appartments.
The appartments have aircondition.
The resort is approved by the greek tourist authorities,
and holds an EOT-licence.
The swimmingpool and the sunbeds are free to use between 09.00 and 23.00
In the garden it is also possible to relax under shady olive-trees,
or prepare a meal on the barbeque .
The resort is situated on a hill close to the old village of Tavronitis,
18 km west of Chania, and approx. 30 minutes from Chania airport.
There is a panoramic view over the Meditteranean sea
and "The white mountains" as the Lefka Ori mountains are called.
The distance to the beach is approx. 1,5 km,
And to Tavronitis with shops / restaurants approx. 600 meters.
We recommend our guests to rent a car,
and we have a good agreement with a local company for car-rental.
