Pot of Gold consist of 5 holiday appartments surrounding a lovely pool.
The appartments have fully equipped citchen, with fridge,
cooking plates and coffemachine.
There is a double bed on the mezzanine, and a single bed in the
livingroom. If necessary we can add another bed in each appartment.
All appartments have aircondition / heatpump.
The swimmingpool and the sunbeds are free to use between 9.00 and 23.00.
The location of Pot of Gold is 18 km west of Chania,
by the small village of Tavronitis. See a map here!
There is regularly buses going to Chania and Kolymbari every half hour.
Ticket price € 2,- The last bus from Chania in the evening at 23.00.
Sunday the last bus leaves Chania at 21.30.
Taxi to/from Chania approx. € 20,-
Pot of Gold is situated on the top af a small hill, giving a beautiful panoramic view of the Meditteranean Sea and the Lefka Ori mountains.
There is always a cool refreshing breeze on the hill,
Distance to Tavrinitis, with shops, restaurants and supermarket is 600 meters.
Distance to the beach, with sunbeds and tavernas is 1,5 km.

Pot of Gold is an excellent starting point for those who want to
explore Crete, its nature, beaches, towns and history.
The distance to the Samaria gorge, europes longest canyon is
approx. 40 km, and to the southcoast whwere you will find
Paleochora and Sougia approx. 60 km
From Paleochora there are ferries going eastward along the
southcoast to several nice places,
among those Sougia and Chora Sfakion.
Some of the ferries take cars.
The Samaria gorge is europes longest canyon, 12 km long,
and goes from 1200 meters height in the mountain of Lefka Ori down to the coast by the village of Agia Roumeli, where you have to take the boat to Paleochora or Chora Sfakion.
Lefka Ori, "the white mountains" offer great opportunities for hiking along beautiful tracks high above the Meditteranean sea.
The central and southern parts of Lefka Ori, 1800 meters and higher, is technically a highmountain desert,
unique on the northern hemisphere.
